William A. Growdon, M.D.
Doctor Growdon left academic practice in 1989 to pursue full time private patient
care. Despite an association with other physicians, a "solo" private practice
atmosphere exists. Obstetrical care is not handled as a group practice normally
handles care. The expectation is that delivery will occur the majority of
the time with Doctor Growdon in attendance. Gynecologic care is given with
conservative options and surgery as a last resort if possible. A full-service
urodynamic laboratory is used in the office to assist the problems of incontinence
in women. The office staff promotes a family-style approach to medical care
with easy access to the physicians when questions or problems arise. Financial
arrangements can usually be made to the patient's satisfaction where there
is no insurance coverage available. Humanistic patient care and advocacy
for patient rights are hallmarks of this practice.
