He was Associate Professor and Chief of Surgical Oncology at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. He holds the distinguished position of Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at UCLA School of Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and holds certifications including Diplomate, American Board of Surgery. Dr. Rangel has been in private practice since 1979.
