| What makes us different?
Mammograms are immediately reviewed by the doctors; extra views and/or ultrasound is performed at the time, if necessary. During the visit, the results are discussed with the patient. If normal, the patient will leave our office knowing it is normal, alleviating unnecessary anxiety and obviating the need to call her doctor for the results. If a needle aspiration or ultrasound guided biopsy is required, it can be performed at the time, or scheduled at a later date, depending on the patient’s preference.
All the ultrasounds are performed by the doctors, not by technologists. This allows for a much more tailored examination, since we are clinically interactive with our patients. Our goal is to broaden the scope of our examinations in order to answer clinically relevant questions, not just to perform a minimal limited examination as requested.
